The attached exhibit is a classic example of a Performance Evaluation Behavioral Anchors Grid. (Note: There are three pages. Use the arrows at the bottom of this section to view each of the pages.) If you don't already have a performance evaluation system, consider using it as a means to develop specific behaviors you would like to see your employees exhibit.

Consider a team meeting or employee input on what standards of behavior will reflect the different degrees of success associated with the essential functions decided upon by the group.

Also consider periodic modification of behavioral expectations associated with essential functions of different positions. This will improve your ability to have employees exhibit those behaviors that are consistent with work unit or organization goals.
